We aim to teach the children:

· to be able to read fluently and with understanding and enjoyment;

· to be able to communicate in spoken and written language and to listen with appreciation and discrimination;

· to develop concepts in mathematics and science and to apply their systems purposefully;

 · to communicate feelings and ideas through a variety of art forms, music, drama and movement; to acquire competence in manipulative and practical skills;

· to be able to handle information using traditional methods and modern technology;

· to be able to manage enquiries and be able to develop strategies for problem-solving; and to develop concepts of people in time and place together with an understanding of their own and other cultures.

We want children to be hardworking and happy at our school while they are learning, so that they can develop their talents and use their skills with increasing pleasure, understanding and confidence.

We hope to enable our children to develop an appropriate set of attitudes, values and beliefs.
