The school council exists to provide the pupils with a voice.

The council is run with the help of two members of staff.
The children identify the issues they wish to address and relay information back to classes
and liaise where appropriate with the Head Teacher, members of staff and other agencies.

Some of the issues the children have discussed recently include:

Litter, toys at wet playtimes and cloakroom space.

An additional benefit of the School Council is that the children are introduced to democracy, negotiation skills,
public speaking and citizenship
