Though the education of children in matters of sex is primarily the right and duty of parents, the school has a complementary role to play. After wide consultation the matter is not dealt with as a separate subject, but, using the scheme “In The Beginning…” is placed in the context of the child’s spiritual, moral, emotional and social development, and integrated into the Religious Education and Science curriculum.
