2015 Captain's Day Our Captain, David Parkinson, chose his home club, Blackley GC, as the venue for the finale of the Province 1 Golf Society season for 2015.
Once again a special mention has to be made of the sterling efforts put into organising our golf for the year by our Secretary, Harry Wormleighton. He had a tough start when the first event was totally washed out with bad weather but he had some reward for all his work by winning the Captain’s Shield. As anyone, who has been involved in organising Society Golf, will appreciate, it takes a lot of hard work and attention to detail to ensure the quality of outings we have had once again this year. Our sincere thanks to Harry.
