CARAVAN RALLY
In support of the Conference, the Catenian Caravanning Fellowship have organised a Rally at the Caravan Club’s Burrs Country Park Site, Bury from 14 May to 19 May. Bookings should be made directly with the site
Transport is being arranged by Peter Smith to/from Burrs Park to the Friday evening Civic Receptions and the Saturday Night Functions ONLY.
Please note that the only official transport, which is being arranged on the Thursday is that between the Midland Hotel and Salford Cathedral. Therefore brothers will need to arrange their own transport for the round trip between Burrs Park and the Midland Hotel. However, Bury itself is well served with tram and bus services and minibuses can readily be organised in advance with local taxi firms.
The site is attached to a major outdoor activities centre with a range of activities from abseiling to white water rafting (excellent for clearing the cobwebs) and is located just a couple of miles from Bury Town Centre. For railway enthusiasts the East Lancashire Railway runs close to the site and operates a service using mostly steam engines every weekend of the year.
For more information on the Catenian Caravanning Fellowship, contact the Hon. Sec., Malcolm Butterworth of Upminster (95) Circle.
